After a hail storm, you’ll want to get a hail damage inspection done to determine the amount of damage caused by the hail storm. Keep reading to learn what you can expect during a hail damage inspection.
The first thing the inspector will do when they get to your home is walk around the house with you. They inspect elevation by elevation, similar to how an insurance company would do it.
While walking around your home, they’ll also look for any other hail damage. This could include damage to fences or decks or other outdoor features.
Once the exterior inspection is done, the inspector will get up on your roof. To determine the extent of hail damage, the inspector will mark off a test square that is 10 feet by 10 feet. Typically, finding 10 or more hail impacts in a 10-foot by 10-foot square will require repairs.
