Water heaters are used to heat the water that comes out of the tap in our homes. These heaters are important in ensuring that we all get warm showers, and have access to hot water for the dishes. There are a few different kinds of water heaters that you can use for your home.
Let’s take a look at the different types of water heaters.
The first water heater that we are going to talk about is a gas heater. These heaters, as the name suggests, are powered by gas. On the outside of a gas tank, you will find a thermostat, along with a gas burner. On the inside, you will find a pipe that goes through the tank and up into a chimney to release the hot air.
An electric tank is the next water heater that we are going to talk about. This tank will not have a burner like the gas tank, however, they do have two electrical elements that are used to heat the water. Electric tanks do a better job at keeping in the heat when compared to gas tanks. Although they keep heat better, these tanks use a lot of energy.
